Video Tags

Treat these just like meta keywords, use short and long tail keywords and phrases. I usually try not to add more than 5 or 6 - keep it focused in one area. Example:

“comic book store phoenix”, “comic books”, “phoenix comic books”, “phoenix”, “arizona”

Video Response/Comments

You can go one step further and video comment on other relevant videos, which will help you get more traffic and exposure to your video, boosting your rank also.

So now your new video is optimized pretty good to show up highly in the youtube/vimeo/etc search engines, BUT also on Google itself! Your video will have a good search ranking in both Google video search results and depending on the search phrase your video can show up on the organic section of Google.


SEO and internal linking

Everyone knows by now how much backlinks can effect your page rank an SERP. A heap of quality and natural backlinks with good anchor text is by far one of the best things you can do on your SEO checklist.
